Region II Regional Meeting | Southern Delaware
A New Wave of Delaware Gardens
Friday, October 11 | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Participants in this program will learn about a newly opened botanic garden in Region 2 (officially opens on September 12). The new Delaware Botanic Garden’s mission is “to create a world-class, inspirational, educational, and sustainable public botanic garden in southern Delaware for the benefit and enjoyment of all.” Attendees will also visit local, private gardens and learned about gardening challenges in the unique Delmarva coastal climate. Some surprises and additional stops may be added – stay tuned!

Things to know
- This group dinner is dutch-treat and not part of the official program, but some folks will want to stay a bit to avoid the worst of rush-hour traffic and others may be choosing to spend the Friday night in the area.
- Car-pooling is highly recommended. Parking is free at all the locations, but limited at a few of them.
- There may be a cocktail party/dinner gathering on Thursday evening as a bonus for those who are in the area or plan to arrive early to stay on Thursday night for the event.
- For those who stay over Friday night, a group will converge on Peppers Greenhouse then perhaps have brunch together in Milton, DE, before heading home.
